AVW-TELAV is a Division within the Freeman company. AVW-TELAV offers audio visual and presentation technology services and solutions to help you create successful meetings, corporate events, trade shows and exhibits. In addition, we provide system design and integration for permanent audio visual applications. General Job Description: • Participate in the planning and implementation of operational activities for assigned events • Attend pre-con meetings and assist with site surveys as needed to ensure proper planning • Responsible for the pulling and loading of equipment to and from show site • Work directly with Inventory Control to ensure complete equipment coverage on shows • Supervise and coordinate labor on show site to ensure that necessary activities are performed in a timely and cost effective manner • Evaluate show site labor staff and part time employees • Oversee the installation and tracking of equipment on shows to their assigned areas • Responsible for maintaining accurate equipment counts on show site • Serve as customer service liaison to the client when the account executive is not available on show site • Ensure that company safety guidelines are followed and implemented on show site • Assist in other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Two (2) years college or technical trade school; four (4) years experience in the audio visual field; or an equivalent combination of both education and experience • Strong knowledge in setting and operating audio, video, projectors and lighting equipment • Must have proficient knowledge of sound equipment, multi-media equipment, video equipment and lighting equipment for use in meeting rooms & exhibit displays • Must have a general knowledge of electrical and rigging requirements for all basic audio-visual equipment • Ability to interact professionally with other departments and venue personnel • Must be able to lift/remove up to 100 pounds • Ability to drive a 24' Non-CDL Bobtail Truck or willing to learn • Must maintain a valid state driver's license • Microsoft Office computer skills preferred • Excellent customer service skills Work Schedule: Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work is required with extensive travel (50-60%).
